I found this New Year’s meme over at Funkylindsay.com. (Go through your blog, and post the first sentence of the first post from each month.) Enjoy!
We arrived home yesterday from our fabulous trip to Kansas City.
I am up too late tonight, but I am glad because I happened to watch a PBS documentary on the Quilters of Gees Bend, Alabama.
The winter term of my school program is in the final stretch (only two more weeks of class), and that means I have a lot of work to start and finish before the end.
Woah. Just spent almost the whole day working on this jaunty little fellow.
I have received two packages from the “It’s a Sticky Situation†swap on Swap-bot.
I want one of these.
I think all of the girls had a fun time at Chelsea’s bachelorette party last night.
Travis and I went to see Al Gore’s movie, An Inconvenient Truth, at the local art theater with some friends last weekend.
Yesterday, I mailed out my mix cds for the “It’s All About Me†cd swap on Swap-bot.
Since I have been so busy with work and school, and then since I got sick on Thursday and have been sleeping during all of my free time, I don’t have anything too exciting to post on the ol’ bloggy blog.
My first post for NaBloPoMo is totally lame… I am extremely sick today and I am in the process of preparing to leave for San Francisco tomorrow at 4 am.
I am currently (and seemingly endlessly) entrenched in my office trying to complete my absurdly long and confusing research proposal.
This review seems to cover many of the major aspects of 2006: school, swap-bot, family, chelsea & scott’s wedding, my trip to san francisco, more school, and my online store. It makes me sad that my online store is not really in existence any longer. Maybe I can get it up and running in 2007.
The most exciting part of 2006 was not included in this review: buying our first house! I promise to update Eugene Cottage more often in 2007 about our little place.
The two most challenging parts of the year also were not represented: the passing of Travis’ grandfather in November and my mom being in the hospital during December. However, I have some good news: Mom is finally getting to go home from the hospital today! I am very grateful for that. I think 2007 is going to be a good year!
