The mascots for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver were announced yesterday and I am already in love with them. Sumi the thunderbird, Quatchi the sasquatch, and Miga the sea-bear are just about the cutest things ever! I am also a fan of the 2008 Beijing Olympic mascots, but Vancouver’s are even better! Vancouver, Canada, is cool place – progressive and smart and all about the environment. Those ideals are represented in the olympic mascots. The mascot animals are taken from local and west coast first nation legends, and they were designed by the amazingly adorable design team, meomi. There is even a cute marmot mascot sidekick named Mukmuk! way too cute!

   I totally loved wizzy, or whatever the blue monster thing was a couple years back.
