guess who this letter is from!!!

My sweet little brother, Seth, sent us a letter… a letter from Kenya! He is stationed there with the Peace Corps. He has only been there about three weeks, so I am very impressed that I already got a letter! And, it is seven full, hand-written pages long! I almost felt like crying while reading it except that he sounds just fine and he wrote lots of interesting things. He even says they are making him eat too much! I have scanned the whole letter and he requested that we post it to his blog, but unfortunately we don’t know his password. So, I will make it available here until we can figure out how to get into his blog.

To download the (7-page) PDF of Seth’s letter, click here.

It is so fun to hear from him! I know that the two years are going to go so fast and then he will be sad that he has to come home!

In other international news, I got my fourth Postcard Swap postcard. It is from Mafalda in Portugal. It is a beautiful handcrafted card made with pretty paper and ribbon. I love it! Thanks, Mafalda!

One more tidbit that is somewhat international… Guess what I did during my 1-hour break between classes today. I played Dance Dance Revolution in the student union arcade with two other girls from my class! I know, how dorky is that! But it was fun… we are supposedly going to do it every Thursday so that we get super-good!

and from what I hear, dance dance is a great workout too. my best friend’s in china for the peace corps too. we try to keep in touch as best we can through email, but because of the chinese gov’t censorship, she can’t even look at a lot of our blogging sites. it’s already been a year for her and her husband. and time does go by quickly.

it is kinda weird that seth sent to us first, except that i was fairly demanding about him sending me letters! also, maybe the letters are sent across the Pacific ocean, so we just got ours first…

I wrote that letter waiting for my class to teach to start. Mom and Dad were sent a Aerogramme before also. I posted about getting letters out a frequently as I can. I should send another dozen by the end of next week.
