just so that everyone is aware, i hate the Arby’s ‘ovenmit’ commercials.

i am happy thanksgiving is this week because that means i only have to go to work 3 days. i am thankful for that. i can’t wait to see everyone on thursday!

at work on saturday we had a contest to sell these cathedral candles. for every candle you sell you get your name in a drawing for one free 6×6’ candle of your own…. i sold 6 candles, so i hope i am the winner! on the first weekend in december i work sunday and we are having a christmas cd contest…. so if you need a christmas cd, come see me!

to continue our family tradition of terminator on christmas, someone is going to have to get Terminator 3 for a present… i wouldn’t mind getting it becuase i thought it was pretty good and it really rounded out the trilogy with a good ending (or is it just the beginning?). also, T3 holds a dear spot in my heart since it was the movie we all saw on the eve of my wedding. it may not be a $10 gift idea, but it’s close.

this is our mantel with our new garland (stupid garland broke all of my frames) and our new picture frame and votive holder from PB. it still needs some work, and it will look more christmassy once our stockings are done, but what do you think?

guess what! travis and i went to target tonight and we found a tinsel tree! it was only $19.99! we bought a couple little ornaments, too! we are ready for christmas! i am so excited!

ok, since everyone has been nice and cared about me, i am back to blogging… but let this be a lesson to anyone who is thinking about being mean to me!

the picture above is my christmas stocking. i decided to crochet stockings for travis and me for our first christmas as married people. the only problem is that i already need to go get more yarn from Urban Arts and Crafts. I will keep you posted on the stocking progress…

since no one likes hearing about all of the fun things i would like to buy, i am going to start blogging about my real life. like how i got lost today on my way to the conference. that sucked. and jill hates me at work and points out all of my mistakes, which are millions. and i bought soom stupid garland at stupid pottery barn (which i had to work at tonight and on saturday) and when i was trying to put it up i broke my photo frame that matt gave me and another frame with a photo of travis and me on our first date. and i wore my pointy boots all day, so my feet hurt. and travis has the flu so he just has to work, sleep and go to class. and on top of everything, i can’t find a stupid tinsel tree and the stupid girls at stupid land of paws were really rude when i asked about theirs. so everything sucks, and i have to go to work tomorrw, and the only joy i have is writing about stupid stuff i want to buy, but everyone had to take that away, too. so poop on everyone.

banana has all of its gift ideas on their website, now. just in case you’ve been waiting for that. i like their jewelry the very best, but cashmere is always nice, too.

today i went to a design conference sponsored by Mac and Adobe at Crown Center. It was pretty interesting, but it just made me want to have all the new stuff. I need a new G5, a Cinema display, and the new Adobe Premium Creative Suite. oh, and travis would also like the XServe and the 17’ Powerbook. that’s it.
